TECHNOLOGY/TESTING:
Our committed Research & Development teams are constantly
developing new products and improving existing ones. To meet
our demanding design requirements, we have even developed our
own powerful computer-aided design (CAD) systems and
analytical tools. We have experienced custom lighting system
specialists who use state-of-the-art custom software to develop
lighting layout plans based on your lighting, aesthetic, and glare
control requirements.
Thomas
& Betts engineered CAD applications give engineers a unique
ability to experiment and refine. These systems include solid
modeling, finite element analysis, optical design and analysis, and
stereolithography. In-house ballast electrical design capabilities enable
T&B to ensure quality in all of the key elements in the luminaire's
electrical system. Raymaster® software allows analysis
and correction of design before tooling.
Our extensive testing labs test and measure every relevant aspect
of a product. Tests are conducted in labs certified by UL and CSA,
as well as ISO9001-certified. Tests are conducted according to
ANSI, CIE, CSA, IEC, IES, and UL standards. Some testing facilities
include Rain Chamber, Photometric Laboratory, Thermal Laboratory,
Life Test Facility, Salt Spray Chamber, and Mechanical Vibration
Laboratory.

many customers. From pre-design to post-installation support, we
offer our vast technical expertise and resources to help our customers.

MANUFACTURING:
Thomas & Betts' manufacturing facilities contain the latest in equipment
and use the highest quality materials.Some capabilities include
luminaire assembly, ballast manufacturing, igniter assembly, reflector
hydroforming, powder coat paint system. We have the flexibility and the
resources to manufacture to customer specifications or special needs.
